Hey everyone! Have any of you experienced a situation in Maya where a window just disappears, despite repeatedly trying to open it from the menu? Frankly, I'm not sure what causes this issue, but luckily, there are several methods that might help to solve it. I'll share them below. If anyone has a different solution, feel free to drop a comment and share !
Method 1 :
Delete or Rename「Maya」folder under your user document folder.
( Rename it for backup purposes ) or do the same action to the prefs folder inside each version.
This method can be solved in most cases becuz this will make the entire Maya back to default, but the con is u'll lose all of ur custom settings. And that's the reason why I don't recommend doing it in the first place. ( unless this is the only way left )
Method 2 :
Press Alt + Spacebar, when a little menu pops up, don't move ur cursor away and press M. Finally, just Click and Drag.
Method 3 : This is the fastest way to do it. Just press the Windows key along with the Arrow key ( The right side of the keyboard ). It will show up on the corresponding side to which you clicked the arrow.
I know situations vary, and these methods might not solve your problem, but it's still worth a try. I hope these methods help you out too, and I'm also looking forward to someone offering different solutions to discuss together.
